Unable run make after configuring the PHP.........

Hi,

I have issues in Installing PHP on Apache and Oracle 11g on a virtual setup.
I have configured Oracle, then Apache and successfully installed it. On this framework when
I try to run the make command after configuring PHP, I get the following error message while
installing the PHP.

... /usr/lib/libxml.so:No such file or directory
make:...libphp5.so [Error 1]

Could anyone please assist me in getting this issue resolved?

I think you must configure with the following option:

./configure --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs

You'll see immediately when compiling with "make install" that the library will be created..

I configured using the following command:

./configure --with-oci8=$ORACLE_HOME --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs --with-config-file-path=/usr/local/lib --enable-sigchild

I get the following error message:

gcc: /usr/lib/libxml2.so: No such file or directory
make: *** [libphp5.la] Error 1


Can anyone help me here??

You could search and download for the missing file in Google and then configure it as per your requirements.
