Remote server database access from client machine.

Hi friends,

Currently i am using a Mysql server 5.5.8/9.

I want to access Remote server Mysql database from local/client machines. This features was worked well previouse versions 5.1.xxx. But not able activate in a new versions.

Also I tried your reference url, successfully installed with remote network option, thanks for this.

Mysql port no(3306)Firewal also opened in server. Enenthough not able to access server database. I got the following error message when connecting server database.

Do let us know if you can connect to the MySQL instance via a Server command window. This is to ensure that MySQL instance is indeed running on the remote server or not.

What is the Server's O/S?

What is the client's O/S?

What is the clients ip & subnet mask
What is the Server's ip & subnet mask

Please give us the exact list of commands that you are typing into the client, to connect to the remote instance of MySQL.

This information will help in a big way to resolve your MySQL instance connectivity problem.

Server OS is Windows Server 2003
Client OS is all like a (XP, win 2003, win 7,..)

I try connect through Mysql Administartor client tool using IP addres replaced by localhost and server databse uerid and password.
