Numbering for outlining

I want to know if in Open Office Word Processor, is it able to do numbering for outlining?
Like For Example:
1.
a.
ii.
(by pressing tab it does this automatically, with spaces)

If I get this software, I will be using it for note-taking, so, do you think I should download it?

Yes, it is possible to set up the bullets and numbering to do this. It won't do this by default, but if you go to Format -> Bullets And Numbering -> Options, then you can set it up to do this on a document.
