Why was my payment denied, refunded, or unclaimed?

There could be a few reasons why your payment didn’t go through. The terms Denied, Refunded and Unclaimed refer to the status of your payment. These statuses appear in your account history. Here is what those payment statuses mean:

• Denied means the recipient denied the payment, so the funds were returned to your PayPal account.
• Refunded means the recipient accepted the payment, but then refunded it.
• Unclaimed means the payment hasn't been accepted or denied.

If you have questions about a specific payment, you should contact the person who received your payment.
