Configuring Joomla from LAMP to WAMP

Dear Sir,

I have an assignment of setting up of a local environment for a Joomla Website which is hosted in a Linux server. But i have only Windows machine and i am assigned the task of setting it up in Windows XP. I am actually a Java guy and learning PHP and Joomla now.

May i know what are all the files to watch out for and what are the configuration files that i should change for setting a environment in Windows machine.

Please let me know if you need any more information regarding this....

Why not spend some time on Opensourcevarsity and read the tutorials there. You can even download the tutorials as .pdf files for free.

The subject of setting up a Joomla website on Windows XP is covered in great depth.

Simply download the tutorials, print them out and file them if you like. Then follow what they say step by step. You should be able to achieve what you want without too much sweat.

If you have issues, open up a thread with a specific question I'm sure someone will help out.
