I don't want to make my visitors download extra large images on the product description page that are simply sized down for display. I would rather they only have to load the larger image if they CHOOSE to do so by clicking for it.
What you should do is upload a bigger image and then in the product description make it a specific size through css. That way your "big image" in prod. description is actually resized "bigger" image.
