OpenOffice Download

When downloading any setup file, it is a good practice to save the setup file(s) in a folder on any other drive besides C:\.

We’ve created a folder named openoffice in E:/drive as shown in diagram 1

Download OpenOffice

Download the latest version of Open Office from:
http://download.cnet.com/OpenOffice-org/3000-18483_4-10263109.html

A Common Technique to Find OpenOffice {anything} Using Google

Open a browser window and enter http://www.google.com in the address bar and hit GO.
In the Google search window that opens search for download open office for windows as shown in Diagram 2.

In the Search results window Click on the download.cnet.com as shown in Diagram 3.

When the download.cnet.com site opens in the Browser window click on the Download Now Link as shown in Diagram 4.

When you click on Download Now link, the openoffice setup window appears as shown in diagram 5.

When you click on Save File button, in the window which appears navigate to E:\openoffice and save the setup file as shown in Diagram 6.

The download process of OpenOffice is successfully finished.

Note: Most modern Browsers permit you to choose a specific folder in which to save file downloads. Once set, all files downloaded will be automatically saved to that folder without alerting the user where to save the file(s) as shown in diagram 7.
