Navigate to E:/openoffice where you have downloaded and saved setup file as shown in Diagram 1. Run the openoffice setup file for the installation process to begin.

A window opens which step by step takes you through the installation process of Open Office.
Click Next to continue with the extraction of installation files into your drive as shown in Diagram 2.

The next window displays the location in which your Open Office folder would be extracted to by default as shown in Diagram 3. Using the Browse button you can navigate to any destination folder (i.e. user created folder) on your hard disk.
Click on Unpack to continue with the process as shown in Diagram 3.

The next window displays you the progress of extraction as shown in Diagram 4.
This could take some time, so you have to wait till the process completes.

The next window will start Open Office installation process on your computer as shown in Diagram 5.
Click Next to continue with the process of installation.

The next window requires values for User Name and Organization to be entered. You can either choose to install open office for all the Window XP users or for a particular Window XP user as shown in Diagram 6. Click on Next to continue with installation.

The next window allows you to select the type of setup you require during OO installation in your system as shown in Diagram 7. Click the Complete radio button then Click Next to continue.

The next window permits the creation of a start link on the Desktop if the Create start link on desktop checkbox is checked on as shown in Diagram 8.
Click on Install to continue with the final step of the OO installation.

The next window displays a progress bar that shows how the installation of Open Office in your system is occurring as shown in Diagram 9.
This could take some time so you have to wait for the process to complete.

The next window displays the installation completed message as shown in Diagram 10. Click on Finish to complete with the installation process.
