Setting Up And Configuring PrestaShop

Logging in to Admin Section of Prestashop:

In your Browser address bar type in your_website_URL/{youradminfoldername}

Eg.
your_website_URL /admin1234

Enter the Email Address and password provided on the last configuration page when installing Prestashop, click on Login as shown in Diagram 1.

After logging in to the backend, Prestashop Control Panel page is displayed as shown in Diagram 2.

Re-Arrange Prestashop Modules In The Default Template:

Navigate to Module Menu in the Top Menu as shown in Diagram 3.

Click the Modules tab.

The Screen as shown in Diagram 4 is displayed in the Browser.
Click on Positions as shown in Diagram 4. The Screen as shown in Diagram 5 is displayed in the Browser.

NOTE: You can also Add a module from my computer OR Add a module from Prestashop Addons as shown in Diagram 4.

All the Standard Positions on the Default Template in use will be displayed on the Modules->Positions page as shown in Diagram 5.

In the default Template of PrestaShop™ 1.4.5.1 the module positions are:

Payment
Right column blocks
Left column blocks
Homepage content
Header of pages
Top of pages
Product footer
Invoice
Footer
Stats – Modules
Product actions
Product out of stock
Shopping cart extra button
Before carrier list
Order detail displayed
My account block

Here is a partial list of PrestaShop modules that have not been assigned to any specific position within the PrestaShop default template.

Customer account page display in front office

Block above the form for create an account

Changing module position from one block to another

Cart module is placed in the Left column blocks.

Focus : Shifting the Cart module to Right column blocks.

Approach: Go to Prestashop Admin Dashboard and unlock the Cart block from the left menu.

Go to the Left Column blocks
Locate the Cart Block
Check on the checkbox
Click on the unhook the selection button at the top

NOTE: Click on the link Transplant a module. The Screen as shown in Diagram 9 is displayed in the Browser.

From the Drop Down List Box next to Module Label, select the Cart block module
From the Drop Down List Box next to Hook into Label, select the Right column blocks
Click on SAVE as shown in Diagram 10

Navigate to the Front End of your website and the Cart Block will have shifted to the Right column block as shown in Diagram 12

Changing the order of A module position in one block

In the Right Column Block there are as follow

New products block v0.9
Top seller block v1.1
Specials block v0.8
CMS Block v1.1
Stores block v1.0
Cart block v1.2

For shifting the Cart Block module to the top of the Right Column Block, place the mouse of the Cart Block module and the cursor sharp changes as shown in Diagram 13.
