To install theme in WordPress core, login to WordPress website as administrator, by simply entering the url_of_your_website/wp-admin in your Browser. Enter the appropriate username and password {which was provided while installing WordPress } and then click on Login as shown in Diagram 1.

After logging in as WordPress Admin, a Dashboard page opens as shown in Diagram 2.
The Dashboard provides access to different WordPress functions and features.

On the left menu, locate the link Appearance as shown in Diagram 3. Click on Appearance, from the drop down menu that appears click on Themes as shown in Diagram 4.

The Manage Themes tab opens. Click on Install Themes as shown in Diagram 5, in order to install new theme into your WordPress Blog.
NOTE: For the first time when you install WordPress 3.X.X, WordPress is available with the Twenty Ten 1.1 Theme installed and activated.

The Install Themes Tab opens and in that click Upload, in order to upload any WordPress theme zip file, into your WordPress Blog as shown in Diagram 6.

In the Upload page that is displayed click on Browse as shown in Diagram 7.
NOTE: The WordPress theme must be in .zip format, to be uploaded to your WordPress Blog via the WordPress interface.

After clicking Browse a file navigator window opens. Navigate to the appropriate folder on your hard disk where the theme’s zip file has been downloaded and saved.
Select the WordPress theme by clicking on it once and then click Open as shown in Diagram 8.

The WordPress Theme zip file name appears in the text box adjacent to Browse.
Click Install Now in order to upload the file and install the particular WordPress Theme into the WordPress framework as shown in Diagram 9.

A few seconds after clicking Install Now, the process continues automatically. You should see the - Theme installed successfully - message as shown in Diagram 10.
At this moment, the theme is not yet activated for your WordPress Blog.
Before activating, it is a good practice to Preview the theme installed in your WordPress Blog, to confirm the successful installation of the theme.
Click on Preview as shown in Diagram 10.

A preview pop-up appears as shown in Diagram 11.
From this pop-up you can verify the appearance of your site visually.
Click on X at the top left hand side of pop up to close the preview window.

If you are satisfy with the look and feel of the theme installed for your Wordpress Blog, Click on Activate as shown in Diagram 12.

The theme is now installed and activated as shown in Diagram 13.
The message New Theme activated. This theme supports widgets, please visits widgets settings screen to configure them. is displayed, which informs you that the theme activated can now be configured for widgetisation as shown in Diagram 13.
Here you can view and manage the current theme activated for your WordPress Blog.

To view the installed theme in WordPress core, enter the url_of_your_website in your Browser and hit GO.
The WordPress website opens with the installed theme as shown in Diagram 14.

The theme is activated and installed for your WordPress Blog is finally completed.
To uninstall theme from your WordPress Blog, Click on Manage Themes tab, a list of themes are displayed. Activate one of the Available themes (if any) as shown in Diagram 15.

As soon as you click on Activate link, the theme will be activated and the current theme will be changed.
Click on the Delete adjacent tothetheme which you want to remove from your WordPress Blog as shown in Diagram 16.

This will prompt for a confirmation to delete the theme. Click on OK as shown in Diagram 17.

This will successfully delete the theme from your WordPress Blog.
The theme deleted success message is displayed as shown in Diagram 18.
